Mrs. Molly Parks

Hello STREAM families,

My name is Molly Parks.  I am the new 8th grade teacher here at STREAM Charter School.  I am excited to start a new adventure here at school and help our students grow into the best they can be!  I live in Chico with my husband and our dog, Reggie.  Some of my favorite things are the outdoors, my husband and dog, and music.  I am a radio DJ at KZFR 90.1 FM and am active in my community involvement. 

As a Northern California native, I have deep roots in this community, having grown up in Red Bluff and completing my education at the University of California, Davis, and Chico State. My passion for teaching began during my credential program at Chico State, where I had the privilege of student teaching at Neal Dow campus in Chico and Sierra Avenue Elementary in Thermalito. This experience, coupled with my 17 years of teaching, has equipped me with the skills to create an engaging, effective, and safe learning environment.

My approach to teaching is centered around making the subject accessible and enjoyable for all students. One of my key strengths is my ability to build strong relationships with my students. I believe that understanding each student's unique background and needs is crucial to fostering a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere. By creating a classroom culture where students feel valued and understood, I help them take academic risks and achieve their full potential.
